WHEATON ARTS & CULTURAL CENTER

Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center, founded as Wheaton Village in 1968, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to engage artists and audiences in an evolving exploration of creativity. The mission will be advanced through the interpretation of collections and exhibitions; education initiatives and culturally diverse public programs; residencies and other opportunities for artists. With a history spanning four decades, Wheaton Arts has earned regional, national and international recognition for its unique collections and programs. The Museum of American Glass is at the heart of the Center, housing the most comprehensive collection of glass produced in America. Located in Millville, center of the nation’s first glass industry, the Museum is one of only 8 museums in New Jersey to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

GLASSTOWN arts district

Millville Development Corporation (MDC) is a nonprofit corporation established in 1994. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors with a minimum of 7 and maximum of 13 trustees representing business or residents of the community. MDC’s Mission: Advocate for the Arts as a means of community and economic revitalization by advancing the Glasstown Arts District and center city neighborhood.

The Glasstown Arts District is zoned and comprised of: High Street, from Broad to Main Streets; Buck St and the Maurice River; and 2nd and 3rd Streets with all cross streets.

The High Street area is home to the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the arts, the Levoy Theatre, Cumberland County College Arts & Innovation Center; along with private galleries, specialty shops with artisan goods; outstanding restaurants, pubs and a wine room.

the millville army air field museum

The Millville Army Air Museum was dedicated in 1941 as "America's First Defense Airport. Over 10,000 men and women served here and more than 1,500 pilots received advanced fighter training. The museum is dedicated to the 14 pilots who died while in training here, in service to their Country. CALL 856-327-2347 FOR HOURS OF OPERATION.

New Jersey Motorsports Park

Sitting on more than 500 acres in Millville, N.J., New Jersey Motorsports Park is the premier motorsports entertainment complex in the Northeast. the levoy theatre

The Levoy Theatre Preservation Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to reviving and continued operation of Millville’s century old Levoy Theatre as a performing, screen arts and educational center serving Southern New Jersey and surrounding areas. Our mission is to meet and exceed the needs of an active and vibrant arts community through state-of-the-art technology, historic interpretation, culturally diverse programming and performing arts education for all ages and abilities.

the maurice river bicycle and walking trail

The Maurice River Bicycle and Walking Trail (est. 2005) is located in downtown Millville in Cumberland County, New Jersey.  This trail is surrounded by preserved forests, wetlands, and riverine habitats.  The river and trail offer a great opportunity for walking, biking, nature viewing, and paddling.  Riverview and Waltman Parks are located at either end of the trail and provide recreational facilities for the whole family, including playgrounds, basketball courts, baseball fields, and a picnic area.

maurice river cruises

The Maurice River The beautiful Maurice River begins at Union Lake in Millville NJ and empties out in the Delaware River 25 miles later.  The river has been declared "Wild and Scenic" which protects it from commercialism and development.  On the cruise you will see gorgeous meadows, wild rice, lots of wildlife, and the only working diked farm left in New Jersey. Both dock and boat are handicapped accessible.

The cruise is two hours and the costs are: Adults $20.00 Seniors $15.00 Children over 5 are $10.00 Children under 5 are free.
